MINDFUL(TM) HISTORY ------------------- Copyright (C) 2004 - 2007, FELITEC Inc. This file contains a list of changes made to Mindful since its first publication (version 1.0). Version 1.2.6 - 2007/03/15 -------------------------- Enhancements: - Changed the formula to calculate the new American and Canadian daylight saving start and end dates. Bug fix: - The 'Distinct User File' option in the free edition of Mindful is not working. Version 1.2.6 fixes this problem. Version 1.2.5 - 2006/07/01 -------------------------- Enhancements: - Changed the system tray icon to represent the current day of the month (1 .. 31). Bug fix: - On weekly events that happen only on one specific day of the week (e.g. Every week on Thursday), the frequency is not displayed correctly in the event details hint (e.g. 'andEvery week on Thursday'); the 'and' part of the sentence doesn't belong there. Version 1.2.5 fixes this problem. Version 1.2 - 2005/09/11 ------------------------ Enhancements: - Added 'Notes' field to events. - Added 'Save' feature, which allows to save the list of events at any time (instead of when the program closes only as it used to be). - Added 'Save as...' feature to allow different users of the same computer to have their own personal list of events. - For weekly events, the user can now select many days of the week on which the same event occurs. - New filter on the event list allows you to display current day events only. - Added 'Event' main menu item as additional way for managing items in the event list. - Introduced a new Special Edition of the program (Mindful SE) with the following additional features... - Event alarms. - Roll forward clearance. - Manual roll forward (ahead of time). - Date calculator. - Countdown timer. - Customizable event list colors. Behavior change: - Pressing the 'Close' button in the caption bar now minimizes the application to the system tray instead of closing it completely. Version 1.1 - 2005/05/19 ------------------------ Enhancements: - The list of events is no longer displayed each time the program loads or a new day begins, unless one or more events are due for notice (days left <= days notice) at that time. - Events now appear color-coded in their list. Past events appear in blue, current day events appear in bold red, events due for notice (days left <= days notice) appear in orange, and other future events appear in green. - When the list of events is refreshed, the next upcoming event is automatically brought to the top of the list so you don't have to scroll down to get to it. This can be useful if you have many past events in your list that you keep for future reference only. - The list of events can now be restored with a single left-click (as opposed to a double-click) on the Mindful' system tray icon. Fixes: - Although not really harmful, past events should not appear in the list of 'Events due for notice'. Version 1.1 fixes this problem. Version 1.0.6 - 2005/04/20 -------------------------- Fixes: - Double-clicking the empty area of the event list generates an access violation. Version 1.0.6 fixes this problem. - Mother's Day calculation is late by one day. Version 1.0.6 fixes this problem. Version 1.0.5 - 2005/02/11 -------------------------- Design Change: - When the cursor is positioned over the Mindful icon in the system tray, Mindful now displays the next upcoming event in the list without taking into account the number of 'days of notice' as done in previous versions. In previous versions, the next event with a number of 'days notice' greater than or equal to the number of 'days left' until the event occurs was displayed instead. In other words, the event now displayed is the next event in the 'all events' list as opposed to the next event in the list of 'Events due for notice'. Version 1.0.4 - 2005/02/01 -------------------------- Design Change: - In version 1.0.3, we introduced a confirmation message for closing Mindful completely. This confirmation message is displayed even when the application closes as a result of a Windows shut-down, which could be annoying for users who shut-down Windows every night. For this reason, the confirmation message for closing Mindful has been removed in version 1.0.4. Version 1.0.3 - 2005/01/30 -------------------------- Enhancement: - A confirmation message is displayed before closing the application completely. This should avoid having the application closed by mistake when the user intent is only to minimize it to the system tray. Fix: - Error found in the calculation of the next occurrence date of a formulated monthly event (e.g. event occurring on the third Sunday of each month). Version 1.0.3 fixes this problem. Version 1.0.2 - 2005/01/17 -------------------------- Enhancement: - The mini calendar can now be resized so many months can be displayed at once (instead of only one month at a time). The new size is remembered by the program between sessions so the user doesn't have to resize the mini calendar to his/her preference each time it is displayed. Version 1.0.1 - 2005/01/10 -------------------------- Fixes: - At the beginning of a new year, the number of days left in the year is not reset when going from a leap year to a non leap year or vice versa, until the application is re-started. Version 1.0.1 fixes this problem. - When the application starts, the events are not always sorted properly in order of date. Version 1.0.1 fixes this problem. - On a 12th anniversary event, the program displays '12nd' instead of '12th' in the event description when the year of the original event is included (eg Joyce's [1993] Birthday). Version 1.0.1 fixes this problem. ======================================================================
